Ah, St. Patrick’s Day. The time of year when everyone gets to be a little Irish, and the world suddenly turns into a sea of green. Historically, it began as a religious feast day honoring St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland (who, legend has it, drove all the snakes out of Ireland—good riddance, I say). Over time, the holiday morphed into an international celebration of all things Irish, from shamrocks to Guinness, to wild shenanigans (which is what we are really getting on about here, right?).

Today, St. Paddy’s is celebrated with parades, pints, and plenty of Irish spirit. But here’s the kicker: it’s not just Ireland that’s claiming the spotlight; no, no, lads and lasses. Across the United States, people turn out in droves, painting their towns green, and indulging in Irish traditions, albeit with a slight twist of good ol’ American excess. The good news? You can find a St. Patrick’s Day party in nearly every city, town, and even the smallest little districts across the nation. And this year, the LKN Social District is about to give you one heck of a good time!

That’s right, it’s time for the 4th Annual St. Paddy's Day Weekend Celebration in the heart of the LKN Social District—and trust me, you won’t want to miss it. Whether you’re Irish by heritage, by spirit, or just here for the beer, this party is shaping up to be a bigger celebration than ever before.

The Deets You Need to Know

When and Where:

Saturday, March 15th (3 PM – Midnight)

Sunday,March 16th (12 PM – 10 PM)

Location? Right in the middle of the action, at OTPH in the heart of the LKN Social District.

Now, if you’re thinking, “What’s OTPH?” I’m glad you asked. It’s Old Town Public House and it’s the closest you’ll get to an Old World Pub in downtown Cornelius. It’s the perfect place to celebrate all things St. Paddy’s and the pub will be pumping out pints, cocktails, wines, and more all weekend long. Imagine if you will… outdoor games, drink specials that will make your taste buds do a little jig, and a party atmosphere that will leave you wondering why every day isn’t St. Patrick’s Day.

Saturday, March 15th

3:00 – 4:00 PM: Loch Norman Pipe Band

Who doesn’t love bagpipes? It’s like the national anthem of St. Patrick’s Day! Nothing will get you soaking up the Irish vibes quicker.

5:00 – 9:00 PM: Stormin' Norman

Stormin' Norman: Get ready for a sonic storm that’ll blow you away and keep the party rocking all night long with the Stormin’ Norman Experience!

9:00 PM – Midnight: Nickel City Duo

Nickel City Duo end the day inside the pub with some lively tunes that will carry you through till the end of the night.

Sunday, March 16th

12:00 PM – 2:30 PM: Kris Atom

Start your Sunday off with some vibey jams to ease into the madness.

3:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Untethered Soul

Because by Sunday, you’ll need some music that speaks to your soul with fresh takes on iconic songs spanning the decades.

Featured Brewery:

You know what’s absolutely mandatory on St. Patrick’s Day? BEER!. And lucky for you, our Featured Brewery for the weekend is none other than Lost Worlds Brewing. Get ready to sample some brews that will put your played out pints to shame. Pro tip: sip slow, folks this is a marathon, not a sprint.

Food Vendors:

What’s a celebration without food? That’s right, it’s just a bunch of drinking and questionable decisions. So, we’re bringing in some seriously great food trucks to keep you feasting and fueled all weekend long:

Mister Greek Food Truck – Expect traditional  gyros plus lots of other Mediterranean delights. 

The Dusty Moon – We’re talkin’ comfort food that’ll make you want to hug your mama.

Donut NV – Donuts on St. Patrick's Day? It’s not just about a tasty sweet treat; it’s about strategy. Some extra carbs between pints can really help you really go the distance.

B’s Grill - (Sunday only) will join the lineup, providing even more mouth-watering goodness to keep your energy high for the last round of the weekend.

Special Attractions:

Rolling Stone Mining Co. - Will be on-site to keep the kids (and adults who act like kids) entertained. If you don’t find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow you may still find some treasure mining for gems with Rolling Stone Mining Co.

Luck 'O The Irish Vendor Village –Local artisans offering their eclectic wares; because supporting small businesses is always the right move. You may get lucky and find the perfect hand crafted item you never knew you needed . Check out Old Oak Market, Let’s Glow, Jibbity Hop Charm Shop and Gemini Beach for some seriously cool finds.

Drinks:

What’s St. Patrick’s Day without green beer and cocktails? Grab a pint (or several), because you’ve earned it, you’ve trained for it, and this is your moment. It’s a holiday! Keep your eye out for unique drink specials at the pub and outdoor beverage trailer.

Shenanigans and Giveaways:

Of course, what’s a true St. Paddy’s Day celebration without a little bit of mischief? Expect games, giveaways, and, who knows, maybe a leprechaun sighting or two. (We’re legally required to mention them, as per St. Patrick’s Day tradition.)
